Choose a role
Fighter and Thief handle close combat in different ways; Archer attacks at range; Mage heals and enchants. Warrior favors heavy weapons, while Sorcerer specializes in large offensive spells. Mystic Spearhand mixes physical and magick attacks, Magick Archer uses a magickal bow, Trickster supports through illusions, and Warfarer combines weapons.

Warrior and Sorcerer: the two weapons
At Vernworth’s guild, speak to Klaus and begin Vocation Frustration. Ask Roderick, then visit Trevo Cave.
Take the right branch to the large room and open the black chest for Two-Hander. Continue to the hall with several bridges; descend to the lowest level and follow the dark eastern passage to the black chest containing Grievous Horns.
Return both weapons to Klaus. The handover consumes them, so avoid giving away stronger equipment you want to keep.
Magick Archer: escort Gautstafr
Travel south through Battahl and Drabnir’s Grotto to Agamen Volcanic Island. Give the man with back pain, Gautstafr, three suitable wildflowers or herbs. Visit his home on the small island to the north, then escort him to Volcanic Island Camp.
Stay close and deal with enemies along the way. At the camp, follow the wooden ramps and ladder to the hot spring to complete the escort. You do not need to pay to bathe to unlock the vocation.
Warfarer: bring three Newt Liqueurs
Lamond is at the same hot spring. Give him three Newt Liqueurs, counting any bottle already handed over. Continue the conversation afterward and collect Grandmaster’s Path.
You can combine Saurian Tail + Fruit Wine to make Newt Liqueur. For the buying route, visit Higgs’s Tavern Stand in Bakbattahl. A Human should wear a Beastren Mask; move the sack at the left of the entrance into the fenced area to gain access upstairs, then buy from the merchant.
Confirm the new vocation is available at a guild. Reaching an unlock location does not mean a low-level party is ready for all enemies on the way.
